On Saturday morning, I unplugged the charger from my motorbike’s battery, and it started up straight away! Unfortunately, my car hasn’t moved in nearly two months, and its battery was flat too. It’s quite old, so I’ll have to replace it. But to get to the battery, I first need to move the car. Luckily, Deniz reconnected the charger, and on Sunday the car started up. I took the chance to note down the battery type so I can order a new one.

My legal protection insurance got in touch, they still need a few more details and documents. They also want a full list of all the invoices or services that KPT refuses to cover. I gathered everything and sent it off to the case handler. She’s now going to write a letter to KPT, reminding them of my rights and their obligations.

This morning, KPT sent me a message saying they will contact me. Really? But when exactly? I’ve been waiting 21 days for a response to my letter… The satisfaction rating with KPT couldn’t be worse. I can only advise their clients to cancel their contracts at the end of the year.

Sunday was a bit dull, despite the beautiful weather, since I was stuck at home. I took a short trip on my scooter Saturday morning to post some letters and do grocery shopping, but it’s definitely not ideal for longer journeys!

This morning, I had another appointment with the wound specialist to check my scars. They’ve healed well, and my next appointment is in a week. She applied collagen to the scars to help soften the skin.

This evening, with the lovely weather, Deniz and I decided to fire up the grill in the garden. It really feels good to spend time outside. Being stuck indoors during such summery weather is tough on the morale.

It’s already been over a month since my fall in Morocco, and theoretically, if I had continued my journey, I’d be somewhere near Biarritz, in France, by now.
