Sidi Bibi

Today was a relaxed day! After a very peaceful night—no barking dogs or early morning calls to prayer from the muezzin, I enjoyed breakfast by the pool. Afterwards, I settled into a deckchair to soak up the sun and enjoy the water, which was a pleasant 23°C. It was about 30°C outside, and despite using SPF 50 sunscreen, I still managed to get a slight sunburn on my arms.

Around 3 pm, I had a coffee and an ice cream to cool down, then called my mum in Bern to catch up and give her some news.

Another biker camper joined me at my table, and we had a long chat about motorcycles. He’s from La Rochelle in France and used to work for the French government in Ivory Coast and the Comoros, where he always had a bike with him. He had loads of fascinating stories to share.

Tonight, I’m having dinner here again. Tomorrow, I’ll hit the road again, heading south towards Tiznit, which is said to be a lovely town. But in full motorcycle gear, it’s not exactly ideal for wandering around. There are definitely some downsides to travelling by bike!

Since leaving Bern, I’ve covered 1,643.4 kilometres.
